OCTOBER 2016 REVIEW

Sunday, 30 October 2016

Whoa, where did October go? I feel like this year is going at a hundred miles an hour and I'm struggling to find the emergency brakes. Come on, 2016! Give us a break and slow down a little... I'm sure there is more than just me thats feeling like this.

Anyway, I thought I would recap on the month that was October by way of a 'currently' post. I use to post these every so often on a prior blog, and they were a really good way of keeping track of what has happened in the previous month.

READING
I haven't been reading much this month, I finished Paper Towns last month and have just been reading tidbits out of Love and Misadventures by Lang Leav. Dylan has been reading a lot of stories on r/nosleep which are super creepy.

LISTENING
I've been listening to a lot of acoustic covers recently -

EATING
There has been far too many pizza nights recently in this household, but the most exciting thing that we have eaten was delicious food from our barbeque! There is nothing better than grilled vegetables on a bbq - so friggin' delicious!

WATCHING
We've been watching SO MUCH recently - it's been our favourite way to unwind after a long day at work. TV shows that we have been watching are Luke Cage, The Killing, Jane the Virgin, American Horror Story, West World, Designated Survivor - Dylans been watching True Detective Season 1 AGAIN.. I'm not a fan.

MAKING
I'm a maker, so I'm always making something. I've currently got a huge blanket for my niece on the go which will hopefully be her Christmas present. I've also been making things for Tillie's hens party - tassel garland, pom poms... so much fun. Speaking of Tillie's hens.. WE GOT TO DO FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS. I think I'm in love and want to arrange EVERYTHING. I'm also making a rug for our hallway - it's definitely going to take some time for me to complete that!

Dylan has also been making things too! Music being the obvious, but also he's been creating something pretty exciting for our wedding. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

LOOKING FORWARD TO
All the exciting things that are happening at the end of the year! Dylan has a few shows coming up with his band, we have Tillie and Greg's wedding, a MASSIVE christmas with both our families, summer.. there is so much going on!

ENJOYING
Living in our house, the relaxing vibe of our wee town. It's so cool! And everyone is SO NICE.

LEARNING
I'm still learning how to drive (well, I can drive.. I just cant parallel park). We are both learning how to take care of our garden - slugs are the root of all evil and have murdered my poor zucchini plants - going to get a few more and try again.  Does anyone have any tips for their survival?
